Easy Peasy, made local in West Yorkshire. It's a Jowett Javelin:thumbs.

after looking again at the evidence .... i concur with my learned collegue that it certainly appears to be a jowet javelin , the " pointy bit " at the front gives it away

although the " pointy bit " at the front seems a bit more pronounced on that pic , so i dunno

is it french ? :nenau

well if it was a Javelin, for example, and in the UK it wouldn't be there by now if you think about it, so thats a potential answer :augie

...and just the manufacturer won't do, thats a cop-out! :D

It really does look like a Jowett Javelin, but that nose just aint right.
I found a pic that shows a Javelin in a similar state, but even if the grille was removed I cant see that huge nose being there.

I'm in the vintage trade and are really trying to rack my brains as to what cars looked like a Javelin, i'm beginning to think Eastern block... :)

I really dont think its a Javelin, back end is different and rear window missing...
Heres a PD saloon

I'm swaying towards a classic "Opel" to be honest... I'd definitely say European rather than British or American. Although there is a classic Studebaker that looks very like this
